Solar energy has always seemed the ideal power source for air conditioning. After all, the sun is generally shining when the air conditioning load is at a maximum! However the huge power requirements of conventional air conditioners make them impractical for solar power.

have developed, and are trialling in Adelaide and surrounding areas, a solar powered version of their tried and tested wall/window evaporative cooler.
