'Solar powered' air conditioning.

view of solar powered air conditioning cells

The power consumption of the COOLMAX is so low that it is even available in a solar powered version, the SCM50!

Solar energy has always seemed the ideal power source for air conditioning. After all, the sun is generally shining when the air conditioning load is at a maximum! However the huge power requirements of conventional air conditioners make them impractical for solar power.

COOLMAX have developed, and are trialling in Adelaide and surrounding areas, a solar powered version of their tried and tested wall/window evaporative cooler.
